Doctor has ordered twice weekly NST/AFI in third trimester, with indication given as "unable to feel fetal movement." Can I use O36.8130, decreased fetal movement? Just want to make sure I'm not making any assumptions here.

Thank you!

Is there any diagnosis stating decreased fetal movement, any final impressions. If not I don't think you can give decreased fetal movement, since it only says "unable to", not decrease or a disease condition. What does the final impression or test NST/AFI results say.

The results were normal, but they did repeat it a second time and for the same reason. Provider did not give a final diagnosis of "decreased fetal movements," but on the indication for the test, it was stated as "unable to feel fetal movement," so I was wondering if that translated to O36.8130. Thanks for your input!

Since we can't take it as a condition, query your provider for confirmation of a decreased fetal movement or some other diagnosis.
