when can this dx code be used did intubated ?

Codes in the T80-T88 range represent complications of medical or surgical care.

Are you looking to code a complication from intubation? If a patient was intubated without any difficulty or complication, you wouldn't use a code from T88.4XX-

My coworker stated this was the correct code to use for intubation and I was not in agreement. Thank you for your help.
