Quick Question I am trying to figure out how to code . Can someone please help.

Also I'm doing out patent work and I cam across this Nausea and vomiting due to aspirin poisoning, patient took medication incorrectly.
Code(s): I coded this one 965.1, E850.3

For the neoplasm go to the neoplasm table in the alpha section to find the code, find thyroid then look under column for primary, then find Lung and look under column for secondary and bone and column foe secondary. You list first listed the one currently being treated.
For the poisoning your codes are correct but you need a code for the outcome of the poisoning, that is the nausea and vomiting. You list the poisoning by aspirin first, the outcome second, and the E code last.

Ok, I just want to check my answers.

The first one I got by following the table is 193, 197.0, 198.5
The second one I just added my middle code and the was 787.01

Yes that is correct. Just remember to verify all choices in the tabular index, you should never select your codes using only the alpha.
