Hi All!

We recently got audited and got dinged for diagnosis coding in OVs, specifically with malignancies. (I just did a provider education with my docs on that) But one of them raised this question - they have a few patients on a maintenance BCG course as "a preventative" for intermediate to high risk of recurrence - the patient is in between having an active malignancy (C67.x) to treat and history (Z85.51) but there's no visible lesion (D49.4) to resect, but there might be a non visible CIS. Soooooooo what would be the appropriate diagnosis?

Thank you!

If treatment or reason for encounter is just for the BCG immunotherapy Z51.- and the hx bladder cancer code
just a head up of the new Z79.632 for long term(current use) of mitomycin C:)
