Wiki DX for routine physical with pap

Hello,

If a female patient comes in for a routine physical with a pap, would you just use Z00.00 for the primary DX? I have providers using Z00.00 and Z01.419, they want to list both so they can track that both in the patient DX list. Does Z00.00 also include the gynecological exam performed as well?

Z01.419 is breast, PAP, and pelvic.. it is firstvlisted only allowed.
Z00.00 is overall physical and can include a pelvic exam, if a PAP is performed you add the Z12.4, this code is also first only allowed.
Therefore wth ICD - 10 CM you cannot code the Z00 codes with the Z01 codes as they are all allowed first listed only.
