Physician sees patient, CC- growth in throat. Physician refers to ENMT for opinion.
His Dx is 235.1(neoplasm of uncertain behavior of lip, oral cavity)Next to it he writes: Uncertain

Should this code be billed because he writes "uncertain" ( more like r/o, probable)?

If we can not use this dx, then what is the alternate dx for this service. (signs & symptoms:growth in throat)

I would say that it is uncertain until it is biopsied otherwise you could use 478.29
