Help with ICD-10 coding, Provider noted the dx as n51 the book states it needs a disease code to go along with it. The provider only documented Scrotal pain and also noted no scrotal swelling not sure how to code it, what do you all think? Thank you in advance
 
N51 would not be appropriate to report scrotal pain. It can be used only if there's a primary diagnosis coded along with it.
I ran this through my encoder and N50.82, which is the code for scrotal pain (without the associated primary condition)
In looking at the book under Pain, Scrotum, you'll be directed to N50.82.

What all do I think? I think your provider or employer needs to get you an ICD-10 book. You shouldn't have to waste your time to ask these kinds of questions on here.
