How would you code an irregular pulse?
I have 427.9 for an irregular heart beat.

427.9 is Cardiac Dysrhythmia, unspecified
the note in the code book instructs :
"use this code when the diagnosis is identified as a "cardiac dysrythmia" but is not specified as to type"
an irregular pulse is not the same thing as a cardiac dysrythmia.
given only that statement I would have to agree with the 785.9
