I am a new anesthesia coder and am looking for some verification about E-codes. I have been told by one souce that we do not use E-codes because we are not the primary provider (we are just ancillary) and that if we use E-codes that it would hang up the claim for being paid. I have been told by someone else that we do use E-codes. What do all of you do?
