Summit Strategic Solutions (a Business Partner of Summit Medical Group) has an opening for a full time E/M auditor and coding specialist. Individual responsible for reviewing patients? charts and bills for accuracy and compliance to regulations; communicating and reporting results to General Counsel / Corporate Compliance Officer and appropriate physicians.
1) Performs prospective audits of patient records and superbills at sites.
2) Translates collected data into meaningful reports, highlighting similarities, trends, and irregularities.
3) Reviews reports with physicians at the site level for the purposes of correcting previous errors, when possible, and providing education to ensure immediate and future compliance to proper procedures.
4) Presents information in a timely manner to General Counsel / Corporate Compliance Officer and the Board of Directors, as appropriate.
5) Interacts with Medicare and other billing teams in handling denials.
6) Participates in coding review seminars, etc.
7) Reviews and disseminates applicable continuing education information, Medicare bulletins, etc.
CPC required, CPMA preferred
