I work in a Psychiatry office. When our physicians see a Medicare patient in hospital Observation, what E&M code do I use for Medicare Consultation for Observation - also what codes do I use if they see the patient the subsequent day. Help please. Thanks!
 
I believe you would use the 99203-99205 codes for the initial visit and then the 99224-99226 codes for the follow up visits.
