I have an interesting case. My doctor, Dr. A has a patient that he's been treating for yrs for her Lt ankle related to her WC. 2 mos ago, patient had a surgery to that ankle, Dr. A was surgeon assistant, not the primary surgeon. 3 weeks after the patient's surgery, she fell and fracture her RT ankle and in the end, she admitted to SNIF by a dr @ ER. Since Dr. A was not the one that admitted her, but he's her WC tx physician. He saw her @ SNIF couple times. My question is, can I bill for those visits that Dr. A saw her @ SNIF and if so, what code should i code for.
