My question is two fold. The provider I work with wants to bill when she calls or writes a letter to the patient with lab results. The only code I could find is for non-face-to-face services 99441-99443. She has also asked if you can charge an office visit when she writes a letter.
I am under the impression that the lab follow up would be considered part of the office visit when the labs were ordered. I could be wrong.
If it is possible to bill for the lab reviews do I have the right codes?

Thank You

You cannot charge to call or write a letter. The normal result is a part of the visit E&M when they were ordered. The 99441-99444 codes must be actions initiated by the patient, not the provider. Read the rules and descriptions carefully for those codes.
