E/M Coding Supervisor (Remote)​
• Reports to: Coding Manager
• Employment Status: Full Time, Salary

Position Summary
E/M Supervisor is responsible for coding and supervising other coders in multiple specialties: NICU, pediatrics (well office visits, etc), neurology (including injections, infusions, EMG, EEG, etc), orthopedic (including injections, and other in-office procedures).

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Work with coders and coding manager to ensure accurate and timely completion of E/M charts for multiple clients.
  2. Use Aviacode tools and platform to manage and QA coded charts.
  3. Exercise judgment in determining workload for medical coders.
  4. Ensure rules, guidelines, and client expectations are met.

Skills & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma is required
  • Some college is preferred
  • 5+ years' experience in E/M coding
  • 2+ years' supervising experience
  • Pass Aviacode EM test
  • Knowledge and understanding of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management (PM) systems
  • Aptitude for effectively handling stressful situations, prioritizing work, meeting deadlines, and motivating others
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and persistent; very organized and possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills
