Decision for surgery is made on day 1...patient is sent to primary care, etc for clearance and surgery is scheduled for 25 days later. Patient returns day before surgery (24th day) to review preop stats with surgeon and to sign consent....does this support a separate E/M or is it included in the global package? If anyone has the CMS guidelines, please post the link.
