I have a patient that was in the hospital for 6 days and on the 7th day, a decision was made to go to surgery for a major procedure with 90 global period. I know -57 goes on the visit on the 7th day but I don't remember if I can bill the other 6 days. Thanks in advance for the help!!!
 
Since decision for surgery was made on 7th day, we can bill all previous encounters with appropriate hospital inpatient code as that doesn't become part of global package.
