Hi,
this is the scenario, pt was admitted to observation 5/25-5/26. Our Cardiologist was consulted on 5/25 and also the pt on 5/26 for a subsequent visit. Pt was then discharged to home on 5/26. Later that afternoon the pt comes back to the ER with chest pain, our Cardiologist who saw the patient that morning, now admits the pt. Can we bill the admit when we already billed the earlier visit? The patient ended up being inpt from 5/26-5/29. Thank you Sandy
