Need help please! I have listened and read 2 separate webinars that has said that it is ok to charge for the treatment of the underlying condition. Example it gave was: for post op management of heart failure is billable within global period of device implant. Modifier 24 is needed on the appropriate E/M service. So am I reading this correct that is a pt has a pacemaker put in on june 1 and june 11 comes into the ov for chest pain and a-fib complaints can the ov visit be charge w m24. thanks all help is appreciated.
