I am not sure what to do with this E & M charge.!
Surgeon did a Aortic valve replacement &Surgery-Aortocoronary Bypass Grafting.
The patient came in after the 90 day global period for Followup of Surgery-Aortocoronary Bypass Grafting & Artic valve replacment.
Everything was going well for the patient no concerns or problems so he released him from his care and referred back to his primary care.
The doctor dropped this charge with dx of V43.3 & V45.81.This is now getting rej'd for not a valid Dx....these are 2ndry dx per ICD-9.
I guess I am not sure if I can bill this...because I don't believe adding 414.01 & 424.1 along with V43.3 & V45.81 would be appropriate.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
