Wiki E/M with acupunture

We have a dr of Acupunture that performs acupunture and wants to know if she can bill E/M with the services. It states in CPT that it can be billed with a mod 25, but I just wanted to throw it out there and see what other coders are doing in this scenerio?

Several years ago we had a physician that did acupuncture which we billed to insurance (some paid, some did not). We submitted the office visit with the modifier 25, and at times a prolonged service, in addition to the acupuncture code 97780. I know BCBS Federal paid, don't recall on other insurance.
