An established patient visit doctor a urinary tract infection. Urine is check and a prescription is written for antibiotics. Would you code this visit as 99214?
 
Without knowing what the HPI, ROS and exam was done, it is hard to say what it could be. However, I think on just MDM alone, it would be more a 99213. But even that depends on the documentation of the visit.
