Can anyone help on how to code the many ear-piercing infections that I come across daily. Do they require a "T" code for complication? Some providers state "puncture wound." I can't find any literarure on how to code this common problem. Below is a snip of the encounter I received today. Should I just use the cellulitis? Maybe Im trying to hard to find the cause or overthinking. Thank-you!
