I am a Cardiology Coder and have always understood that TRACE tricuspid regurgitation is not a reportable dx, but MILD tricuspid regurgitation is reported as I36.1. My auditor says that Mild is NOT reportable. I have never heard this. I would like other coders thoughts on this.

Do you have a reference that specifically states trace tricuspid regurgitation should not be reported? I am having a discussion about this but cannot find a reference to point to! Thank you in advance.
