Question on Echo reads???
If we have a VA patient who has there echo read at a VA facility and is then referred to our cardiologists who sees the patient in Consult but re reads the echo is there a CPT code to re-read an echo??
Thanks for any help.
 
No there is no code for a re-read, but he can count it as points toward his MDM / Amunt and/or complexity of Data Reviewed "2 points for Independent visualization of image, tracing or specimen itself (not simply review of report)"
