So to try and solve some problems we are getting the Dr. a Scribe. We want to have this person manually enter into the progress note for the Dr. have him log in and review and then sign off. Is anyone doing this? How have you found is the best way of doing this? Are templates a good or bad idea? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

We have eclinicalworks and yes we have a scribe. It works out very well and its a lot faster when you have a high volume. The templates we use save us time and helps the scribe out to be faster since the physician is very fast. If she sees that he is wanting anything out of the norm she can easily do another template to either replace or add to templates to pick from. We have the templates that we did under our favorites. Hope this helps.
