Got a some questions regarding ECP billing. The Medicare NCD states this must be done under the supervision of a physician. Is anybody using Nurse Practitioners to either supervise or actually perform the procedure? How are you documenting the service and the supervision aspect? If you are billing for Medicare, the correct code is G0166, per session, right? What is the correct code for non-Medicare patients. My cardiologists are thinking about starting this and I want to make sure we are doing it correctly.
