What would you do when the patient is seen in the ED and the provider completes a full chart, then the patient is subsequently admitted to Trauma.

Can you bill an E/M charge for the ED Provider and for the Trauma Team?

Yes but only if the ED provider performed the ED services and a trauma physician saw the patient separately and then admitted the patient. The same provider cannot bill for both services, if it was one provider then only the admission can be billed
