Wiki ED visit on same day as peds visit

A patient was seen in the ER at our local hospital and was then sent here to be seen by our Pediatrician on the same day (we are the PCP for the patient).
My question is: Can our pediatrician charge for the E&M on the same day there is another charge to the carrier from an Emergency Room, and should we get paid?
 
You Should

You should be paid for your service. The visits were different sites of services and different providers so there is no reason not to get paid for both.
