I'm trying to find more information on the EEG code 95955. The EEG is one of the procedures our technicians monitor during spinal surgeries. Although the code description states 'for intraoperative EEG during nonintracranial surgery', I've read that it should be used during procedures involving the cerebral vasculature. Our monitoring services are used during laminectomies and fusions involving either cervical or lumbar spinal levels. Is there another code we should be using? It seems all of the other EEG codes are for clinical or sleep study purposes. Because we are doing intraoperative monitoring, is the EEG inclusive of 95941?
