1. Should the date of service for the 72 hour EEG be the beginning or the end of the day? Example: The start date is for the first day is 18:23 on 10/9 and the end date if 24 hours later 10/10 at 18:23. Should it be billed as 10/9 or 10/10?
2. Most if not all insurance companies want a routine EEG within the year prior to the 72 hour. Humana will pay for 95816 ended at 18:10 on 10/9 however will not pay for 95716 started at 18:23 on 10/9 but billed on 10/10. Is anyone else seeing this.
