My doctor performed a perc. tracheostomy with an EGD and planned PEG placement; however, due to no transillumination and gastritis on EGD, the decision was made at that time to not place the PEG tube.

How would I handle this scenario? Just bill out a regular EGD or use the 43246 with either modifier 52 or 53??

It's funny because I had a 52 or 53 modiifer issue today as well. On this case I would do just a 43235 without any modifier (52,53)
