When the patient is unable to swallow the capsule due to medical reason like dysphagia/hiatal hernia/gastroparesis, providers will always place it by EGD. As per the report if the complete diagnostic EGD is performed and post completion of the procedure, the video capsule is advanced into the duodenum using AdvanCE placement system then the coding will be 43235, 91110-52
As it was complete EGD with anesthesia 43235 can be billed and after EGD capsule is placed to duodenum due to which esophagus and stomach will not be read, so this can be billed with 91110-52.
Please confirm on this.
