When a cardiologist performs 93010 more than one time in a day is there a minimum amount of time that has to be in between the EKGs in order to be billed. In our clinic we've always been told that the EKGs had to be 5 minutes apart before the doctor can bill for two.
However, no one seems to know where that rule came from. Any help would be appreciated.
