What are folks using for a dx code for baseline EKGs done for clearance to start meds? Our EKG technicians have been putting V58.69 high risk meds, however, these are cases where meds have not yet been started.

A screening code, V81.2 seems like the right code, but that is not on the Medicare LCD. Is anyone using this? does it get paid?
