Good Morning,

Can a EKG done preoperatively be billed? The EKG was done prior to start of surgery. I think it would be bundled but I just want to verify.

Hey Beth,

If the surgeon did the EKG, then I agree that it is bundled. However, if it was done by another specialty, like cardiology, I would charge for it since the bundling only applies to the surgeon.
