I work at a family physician's office and one of the doctors is wondering what is proper way to bill when an NP orders an EKG, but it is signed off by a physician. She wants to know if the NP should be allowed to bill for it or if the physician should be the one billing for it since they spend time reviewing the chart and they signed off on it. Does anyone happen to know?
