Our practice is looking in to performing ekgs but sending it to a cardiologist to be read. Our office would bill for the tracing only (93005)?

Yes, 93005 is the correct CPT code, but you must also make sure there is an order for EKG in the documentation in order to comply with medical necessity. I hope this helps.
