I do coding for 3 Community Health Centers and I am not involved in the billing process.
The Business Office sends me incomplete encounters, missing CPT or ICD 9 codes. I complete these and return to Billing.
We are moving forward with submitting claims electronically in EMR. For other coders who are involved in this process, I am usnure how my role will change as a coder. Any input would be appreciated.
