When a patient is will die without surgery and there is no time for a preanesthesia exam, how do we document and bill for the anesthesia? I am new at this and I'm not sure where to find documentation requirements for these unusual situations, but it has happened a few times where the patient comes in through the ER and is rushed to the OR. Can we still send out a claim with out the pre-anesthesia exam. How should the Physician document? Thanks
