Patient has been seeing MD #1 for all antepartum care. Patient delivered via emergency cesarean by MD #2 while MD#1 was out of town. MD #1 did see her at the hospital on the days following her delivery. I know MD #2 will bill out the cesarean only but is MD #1 allowed to bill for the inpatient visits/rounds?
