I know the CPT guidelines state that ED visits are not appropriate primary codes for 90833/90836/90838. We have a provider that is adamant that these are billable. I am unable to find concrete evidence (besides the CPT book) that these can not be billed. Does anybody have any other sources? Thank you in advance.

Well if the provider doesn't believe the CPT book, written by the AMA, who are they going to believe?
