The question arose in our practice whether it's appropriate to charge for needles (A4557) with EMG's. One of the physicians had suggested that we need to bill for the needles. He was told he could at a conference. Does anyone have any insight to this? Thanks!

I work for an ortho group and we have 2 physicians that do EMG/NCV. We have never billed for needles. That would be included in the price of the test.
