when billing a NCS only code, 95909, with a major joint bursa injection code, 20610, do you use any modifiers? Usually with 20610, you put a modifier 25 on the E/M code, but that is only on those codes. I was thinking modifier 51 for multiple procedures but the book says that excludes E/M codes and physical medicine and rehabilitation.... Would you use any modifers? The NCS code is for a lower extremity and the 20610 is for the shoulder.
