When the doctor is doing an EMG and the study is non recordable, can we still bill for that?

And another question I have is what does a mixed study mean on the EMG?

If you're talking about what I think you're talking about, I bill it. I've asked our EMG tech about it before. Even though it's NR the attempt was still made to test that nerve, and they don't know that it will be NR until after the EMG has been done. Hope that helps.

I'm not sure about the mixed study thing. Sounds like one of those things I would have to see in context to know what it is. Sorry!
 
Mixed EMG study

The context reads like this:

Right medial plantar mixed study: Peak latency 2 m/sec, amplitude 24 microvolts.

Right lateral plantar mixed study: Peak latency 1.6 m/sec, amplitude 23 microvolts.

Left medial plantar mixed study: Peak latency 4.5 m/sec, amplitude 3.52 microvolts.

How would I code this?
