Hi All, Can anyone answer my question? If a physician orders an EMG of the upper extremities after a patient has had Cardiac Arrest, Pt is intubated, can blink but has no response to painful stimuli. so not comatose... What dx code would you use if the study reveals loss of integrity of the central large fiber sensory pathways? According to LCD/NCD there is no dx that would cover this and you cannot use Cardiac Arrest.. I am stumped on this one... Any help is much appreciated!!
