A patient comes in for our clinical assistant to teach him how to give himself a testosterone injection. The physician wants him to come in for the first few injections for the assistant to observe his injection. Can I charge a 99211 for this? If so, the only dx I can find is V68.89, but that doesn't really seem to fit either.
 
Wouldn't V65.49 be a better ICD-9 code. V65.4 says other counseling, not elswhere classified Health:advice, education, instruction and the fifth digit 9 is other specified counseling/
