Hello,
I'm auditing an Endocrinology practice with 2 Endo's and 1 NP. During the first audit I noticed one Endocrinologist billing all high level visits based on time. During this second audit she has minimally decreased the number of high level vistis but continues to bill 99204-99205 and 99215 based on time with minimal documentation regarding counseling.
Will medicare have an issue with this when all the NPV high levels get submitted based on time. Its my understanding that its a case by case but not all visits should be submitted based on time.
