I am in need of some assistance. I have been asked to research the proper way to code an Endoscopic Facet Joint Rhizotomy. The codes that keep coming up are 64772 and the unlisted code 64999.
I understand that the 64772 describes the incision and exposure of the nerve but does not include any verbiage regarding an endoscopic approach. I can not find a specific code for Endoscopic Rhizotomy, but I feel this procedure has been around long enough that there should be some way to code it as opposed to just an unlisted procedure.
If anyone has any input on this issue I would love to hear it.
