I have a provider that is wanting to bill for an chemo during an angiogram. The code we have selected is 96422 along with our typical angiogram codes, 36228 and 61650. However, the insurance is stating that 96422 can not be billed by a physician. Has anyone ever been able to bill the chemo part of this? The infusinon of the Melphalan was approximatly 60 mins. Thanks for any suggestions.
