Need help in coding this procedure. Would appreciate any input. Pt has a history of lymphoma.
Right chin lesion accessed through the oral vestibule.
Using a cutting electrocautery, the incision was created using blunt dissection, this was taken down to the level of the mental nerve and the submucosal tissues. This was elevated off of the underlying nodal mass. The mass was friable and inflamed and taken out in several small pieces. The wound was irrigated with sterile saline. The wound was closed inlayers with 4-0 chromic suture........
This would not be coded from the integumentary section. Looking at the 40814 code but not sure that is correct either.
It was not a lymph node that was removed. Help!
